LU Couture is a non-profit organization that works for the preservation of the tailoring profession and trains about 10 apprentices annually for the EFZ diploma in clothing design. As part of a public-private partnership with the canton of Lucerne, LU Couture has already trained more than 30 apprentices. A large part of the costs must be self-generated. On October 13, 2015, LU Couture organized a gala for young and old alike at KKL Luzern, presented by Kurt Aeschbacher.
